Winter Fairyland

Winter has hit the Midwest. I'd say 'finally' except I really do not like winter... although the view outside my window is so magical I can't help but be thrilled by it.  It's also just warm enough that my sister and I are hoping to venture out for a photoshoot - our first ever in winter!

What about you? Do you have any adventures planned now that snow has arrived? Or if you weren't in the blizzard path, how are you coping with this winter's surprising lack of snow?

I am at this moment enjoying the 60 degree weather and having a window cracked open for the first time since fall...

Snowmobiling! My family and I have been dying for snow all year to get out on the trails and have some fun, view nature in a different way than most people get to, and just be together as a family (up north, on the trails, car rides, etc).
I did just spend the whole morning shoveling though :)

Amanda - tomorrow I will be terribly envious of you.

Maria, sounds totally awesome! Would you believe I've never been snowmobiling? I have, however, ridden a dogsled...

A dogsled! How awesome is that?! Believe it or not, we actually pass a few dogsleds and horse riders on the snowmobile trails (skiers too now and then) and I've always thought it would be really cool to be on a dogsled. That sounds like lots of fun!
I would encourage you to try snowmobiling though. It's a wonderful experience and you get closer to nature in ways most people never get to in the winter. Plus, it's a great thing for the family :) My little brother, when he was 2, would ride until he fell asleep and wouldn't let us pull him off until then.
